Þingvellir (Thingvellir) is a national park in the southwest of Iceland. In ancient times it was the location of Alþing, which wasthe annual parliament of Iceland that was held up to 1798. Nowadays the parliament is located in Alþingishúsið in Iceland's capital of Reykjavík.

The park is about 40 km (25 miles) northeast of Reykjavík. The park encompasses a rift valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and the boundary between the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia.

At the entrance to the park is a visitor centre where you can learn more about the history and geology of Þingvellir. The park has numerous hiking trails and a camping ground. At Silfra Lake you can go scuba diving. South of the park lies another lake, called Þingvallavatn, which is Iceland's largest natural lake.
