Al Mughsayl (Mughsail)
Al Mughsayl has some of Oman's best beaches, as well as a spectacular inland scenery, including groves of frankincense trees. The road between Al Mughsayl and Salalah is especially interesting.
The road from Al Mughsayl to the Yemeni border is even more impressive and features a fantastic scenery, which ion itself is worth the drive up to the border, even if you're not planning to cross into Yemen. On that road, not far from Al Mughsayl is Job's Tomb, an important religious shrine in a beautiful setting.
There are several hotels and restaurants in Al Mughsayl. The town is 900 km southwest of Masqat (Muscat).
