Berbera (بربرة)

Berbera is a seaport, approximately 935 km north of Mogadishu in the Somaliland region of northern Somalia. The city lies on the Gulf of Aden and has a very hot and humid climate. People are friendly, but be discreet when taking photographs of them.

There is some accommodation in town. Food can be purchased from small eating-places that can be found all over Berbera.

Because of civil strife it is not recommended to travel to Berbera (بربرة), or any other destination in Somalia at this moment.
