Bird Island
Bird Island is the northernmost island in the Seychelles archipelago. It is about 3 km (2 miles) northwest of Praslin Island and it is administered by the International Council for Bird Preservation. Bird species on the island include sooty terns, fairy terns and common noddies. Hawksbill and green turtles are also found there. You can get there by boat or plane and there is a lodge on the island. Bird Island is 100 km from Mahe.
