Blakkawatra
Blakkawatra is a recreation area known for its 'cola' colored water, which is the natural color of the many creeks meandering through the rain forest. Blakkawatra is an excellent place for a refreshing swim.
On the way from Paramaribo to Blakkawatra, you can visit a couple of Amerindian villages: Powakka and Redi Doti, where you can see the way of live of the indigenous people of Suriname. The night can be spent in hammocks in one of these villages.
