Boké
Boké is a port city on the Rio Nuñez, some 175 km northwest of Conakry. Boké is known for the Fortin de Boké, which is an old slaving fort. The fort houses a small museum where various artifacts from the slaving period can be seen. You can also take a tour through the fort, to see the cells and passages where slaves were kept, waiting for transportation to the coast.
There is little accommodation in town. The gare routière is where you find transportation to other cities in Guinea.
