Bukoba

Bukoba is the second largest Tanzanian port on Lake Victoria. It is a dead end, as there is very little transportation the other places on the lake. There are road connections with Uganda, but if you are heading for Rwanda you will have to go back to the town of Biharamulo and turn westwards there.

There are several hotels and restaurants in town. Bukoba is 1040 km northwest of Dar es Salaam, close to the border with Uganda.
