Burnt Mountain (Verbrande Berg)
Burnt Mountain, 10 km southeast of Twyfelfontein is a 12 km-long volcanic ridge of hills. At the foot of one of these hills is the so-called Burnt mountain
, which consists of a hill of solidified lava. The area has the appearance of having been exposed to fire. The rocks look black and nothing grows here. Burnt Mountain is 200 m tall. The views are especially spectacular at sunset.
