Chipata

Chipata is a city, some 550 km northeast of Lusaka on the border with Malawi. There is not much of interest, as the city has grown rapidly in the past few decades and most of the urban developement is recent. One of the more interesting buildings is the central mosque. If you end up there, you'll find countless hotels, lodges and other places to stay, as well as numerous shopping malls, restaurants and café's.
