Chirundu
Chirundu is the border crossing between Zambia and Zimbabwe, on the main road between both countries' capitals, Lusaka and Harare. Chirundu is 100 km southeast of Lusaka, 60 km north from the Kariba Dam. Not far from the town is the Chirundu Petrified Forest, where you can see fossils of trees. Other than that there is nothing of interest, but if you end up there, you can stay at one of the few hotels.
The town in Zimbabwe, on the other side of the border, is also called Chirundu. A bridge across the Zambezi river connects the two towns.
