Cousin Island
Cousin Island is about 3 km (2 miles) west of Praslin Island. It is often referred to as North Cousin Island, while the island of Cousine, 3 km further southwest is often called South Cousin Island.
Cousin Island is administered by the International Council for Bird Preservation and it has been a nature reserve since 1968. It is breeding ground for turtles and seabirds, including several endangered species, such as the brush warbler and magpie robin. The island is completely covered with trees. The only way to visit Cousin Island is on organized tours.
