Epulu


There are many pygmy villages in the forested area around Epulu. It is also the only place in Africa where you can see okapi roaming in the wild. Apart from this animal there are also many antelope, duiker and monkey species in the forests around Epulu.

Epulu was founded in the 1930's and it got its name from the Epulu River that flows through it.

There is a campsite at the Station de Capture, where confiscated animals are kept.
