Fort Boyard
Fort Boyard was constructed on Boyard Bank in the Atlantic Ocean. Construction took place from 1801 to 1857. It was abandoned in 1913 and started deteriorating.
The building was reconstructed in 1989 and since 1990, it has been the venue for a TV game show.
A new restoration project was started in 2025, with the aim of making the building accessible to visitors by 2028.
