Franklin (Indiana)
Franklin is a farm trade center in southern Indiana. Manufactures include auto parts, aluminum doors and windows and copper panels. Franklin College of Indiana is in Franklin. Several art events are held there every year.
Franklin has many old houses and some old brick streets. Some places of interest are Johnson County Courthouse and the Artcraft Theatre, former City Hall from 1936, the current City Hall is home to the Festival Country Indiana Visitor Center.
Various parks in Franklin are connected by walking trails. The city has a public swimming pool.
Accommodation and restaurants are available in town. Franklin is 35 km south from Indianapolis and 790 km west from Washington D.C.
