Fuzhou is the ugly, polluted, industrial capital of China's Fujian province. It offers several places of interest.

The Fujian Museum was founded in 1933 and it well worth a visit.

There are many parks in Fuzhou, including Wulongjiang Shidi Park (乌龙江湿地公园), Beach Park (沙滩公园), Chating Park (茶亭公园), Zuohai Park (左海公园), Minjiang Park (闽江公园), Pingshan Park (屏山公园), Mount Jinniu Park (金牛山公园), Mount Jinji Park (金鸡山公园), Fuzhou National Forest Park (福州国家森林公园), Sandiejing Forest Park (三叠井森林公园) and Fuzhou Hot Spring Park (福州温泉公园). The current Fuzhou Zoo (福州动物园) was opened in 2008.

Accommodation and restaurants are available in town. Fuzhou is between the estuary of the Min River and the city of Ningde, some 1510 km southeast of Beijing.
