Gáldar
In Gáldar is the Cueva Pintada, a cave with polychrome geometrical wall-paintings that were made by the Guanches, the region's original inhabitants. The Arbol Sagrado, a very old tree in front of town-hall, was one of these people's sanctuaries. In the center of town is a beautiful old church.
There are several hotels and restaurants in Gáldar. The town is in the northwest of Gran Canaria, 2 km from the coast and some 1,650 km southwest of Madrid.
