Goidhoo Atoll
The small, isolated atoll of Goidhoo, or Goidu, has long been a place where castaways and exiles were sent to. In 1602, French explorer François Pyrard got stuck there after his ship the Corbin, was wrecked.
The Goidhoo Atoll is about 120 northwest of Malé, not far from the Baa Atoll.
