Harappa
Harappa is Pakistan's second important archaeological site of the ancient Indus Valley civilization. On the site are the ruins of a fortified city dating back to the Bronze Age.
It is best visited on a day trip from Bahawalpur.
Not far from the archaeological site is the current village of Harappa. It boasts an old railway station and archaeological artefacts were found there as well.
