Iquique
Iquique is a port city in the north of Chile, between the Pacific Ocean and the Atacama Desert.
There are several places of interest in Iquique.
- The historic San Francisco Church was the first Catholic church built in Chile. Its wooden construction caught fire in 2024 and the church was burned to the ground.
- Municipal Theater of Iquique.

- Plaza Prat.
- Slava Square.
- Cavancha Beach's Craft Market.
There are good beaches in and around Iquique. The city is about 1000 km north of Santiago.
