Itaguá
Itaguá is an important weaving center, where the so-called ñandutí, or spider-web lace is manufactured. The city was founded in 1728.
Itaguá features some colonial buildings, churches, as well as an interesting museum. There are several hotels and restaurants in Itaguá. The town is on the southwestern edge of the Ypacaraí National Park and 30 km east of Asunción.
