Keszthely

Keszthely sits on the western tip of Lake Balaton. It is a pleasant city with many grand houses and quiet streets. Because of its location, Keszthely offers unique views of both shores of Lake Balaton.

The Balaton Museum was built in 1925. it has an exhibition on the archeological, ethnographical, historical and natural scientific values of the Balaton region.

There are many hotels and restaurants, as well as countless lively cafés in Keszthely. The town is 160 km southwest of Budapest.
