Khami Ruins

Khami Ruins

The Khami Ruins consist of a series of terraces and passages and date from 1820. They are some of the most important archaeological sites from the Rozwi Empire.

The Khami Ruins are 20 km west of Bulawayo, but there is no public transport in that direction, so you'll have to take a taxi, or come by own means of transportation.

Khami is sometimes referred to as Khame, Kame, or Kami. It was included in the UNESCO world heritage list in 1986.
