Kolossi (Κολόσσι)
Kolossi is just outside of Limassol. It is knowns for its Crusader castle. The Hospitallers built the castle as their headquarters, after they were granted land there in 1210. Cyprus used to be one of the world's largest sugar producers, until the British started using the island as a shipping point for their slave trade. A sugar factory built by the Hospitallers can be seen not far from the Kolossi Castle.
Kolossi has bus connections with Limassol. The nearest accommodation is in Limassol.
