Kumana National Park
Kumana National Park is known for its large amount of bird species. Kumana is adjacent to Yala National Park and it used to be known as Yala East National Park. Its name was changed in 2006.
Kumana Bird Sanctuary was established in 1938 and is part of Kumana National Park. There re at least 255 species of birds in the park.
Kumana National Park is 391 km (243 mi) southeast of Colombo.
