Laki (Лъки)
Laki, or Shiroka Låka, as it is often referred to is the most scenic town in the Rodopi Mountains. There are numerous old stone houses and the pace of life in the village is extremely slow. The School for Traditional Music was founded in 1971 to preserve the area's music and culture. Performances are regularly organized. Laki also has a lead-zinc flotation factory, as well as several textile plants and timber workshops.
Accommodation and food can be arranged in Laki. The village is about 155 km southeast of Sofia.
