Lark Quarry Environmental Park
At Dinosaur Stampede National Monument in the Lark Quarry Environmental Park, 120 km southwest of Winton, 100 million-year-old dinosaur footprints have been perfectly preserved in limestone. It is thought that some 180 dinosaurs fled for something and lost their lives in a huge stampede. Their remains were fossilized over millenia in the mudflat.
