Lisala
Lisala is a large town on the northern banks of the Congo River, some 1020 km northeast of Kinshasa. Apart from the Cathédrale Saint-Hermès, there is little of interest to travellers, but there are several hotels and restaurants if you end up there. Lisala was the birthplace of Mobutu Sese Seko, who ruled Congo (which he renamed Zaire) from 1965 to 1997.
