Mbini

Mbini is only about 40 km south of Bata, but you will have to cross the Mbini river (sometimes referred to as Rio Benito) to get there. There is no bridge, so a ferry takes you to the other side. The ferry is rather small and all the hassle involved means it can take some time before you get to Mbini. The mouth of the river provides an excellent environment for swimmers and since not many tourists visit the town, it is a perfect way to meet locals in their own environment.
