Morne Bruce

Morne Bruce is a suburb, southeast of Roseau. There is little of interest, but many people visit it for the excellent views from the nearby hilltop. You can get to the viewpoint by car, but you can also walk there. A trail runs all the way up from the botanical gardens and the walk will take you about 15 minutes.

Morne Bruce used to be a military garrison that protected Roseau. Some remains of the old barracks can still be seen, as well as an old cannon, not far from a large cross that was erected there in the 1920s.
