Moyale
Moyale is a small dusty town on the border between Kenya and Ethiopia, 590 km northeast of Nairobi. The town is 250 northeast of Marsabit across the Dida Galgalu Desert. There is a small but lively market where people from all over the area come to buy supplies. The city is also known for its traditional architecture.
There are several places where you can stay, on both sides of the border. Officially the border runs through town, but it is easy to move between both parts of Moyale and Kenyan currency is accepted on the Ethiopian side as well.
Buses connect Moyale with Marsabit to the south. All traffic in the area must go in convoy to minimize the danger of attack from bandits.
