Mpulungu

Mpulungu

There is nothing of interest in the fishing port of Mpulungu, but it is Zambia's terminal for the ferry that serves towns on Lake Tanganyika. There are several hotels in Mpulungu. The restaurants mainly serve nsima (maize porridge) and fish. Other food is available from the market.

Boats connect Mpulungu with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania and Burundi. Mpulungu is 860 km northeast of Lusaka.
