Naivasha

Naivasha

There is not much to see in Naivasha, but the town is a good place to stay if you want to visit Mount Longonot National Park, Aberdare National Park, or Lake Naivasha, although many people prefer to stay in Nakuru, which is larger and offers more amenities.

There is a good variety of hotels in Naivasha and you will also find plenty of places to eat. You can get there by train, bus or matatu (minibus). In Naivasha there are two matatu stations, one for local destinations, on Kariuki Chotara Road and the other one for Nairobi, on Mama Ngina Road, the main road that runs parallel to the railroad.

Naivasha is on the shores of Lake Naivasha. Naivasha is 70 km northwest from Nairobi.
