Nanyuki

Nanyuki is a small, pleasant town on the northern stretch of the ring road around Mount Kenya. It is a good place to stay if you want to climb the mountain along the Sirimon trail.

Accommodation is widely available but most restaurants belong to the hotels. Guided treks to the summit of Mount Kenya are available in Nanyuki. You can get there by bus or matatu (minibus) from Nairobi, Isiolo, Nyeri and Nyahururu. Nanyuki is about 150 km north of Nairobi.
