Nayau Island
Nayau is an island in Fiji's Lau Archipelago. The island is surrounded by a reef, which is excellent for scuba-divers and snorkelers.
The 3 towns on Nayau are:
- Liku
- Narociva, or Narothivo
- Salia
Most people work on coconut plantations, where copra is manufactured. In 1979, the island was struck by hurricane Meli, which devastated 2 of the towns.
Nayau is about 40 km northwest of Lakeba Island and 270 km east of Suva.
