Newport (Maryland)

Newport is a town in southwestern Maryland.

There are several places of interest in Newport. Sarum is a historic house, the oldest parts of which date from 1717. The Roman Catholic St. Mary's Church was originally built in 1674, but the extant building dates from 1840.

Newport is 75 km southwest from Annapolis and 55 km south from Washington D.C.
