Nyeri

Nyeri is a lively city in Kenya's Central Highlands and a good place to stay if you want to visit Aberdare National Park or Mount Kenya. There is a large colorful market in town.

The tomb of Robert Baden-Powell, who was the founder of the Scout movement, is also in Nyeri.

There is a large variety of accommodation in Nyeri and there are also many restaurants. Nyeri has bus and matatu (minibus) connections with Nairobi and many other towns in the Central Highlands. Nyeri is about 150 km north of Nairobi.
