Oneata Island


Oneata is an island in the eastern section of Fiji's Lau Archipelago. The island is 4.5 km long and 1.7 km wide at its widest point. Its surface covers 5 km² of dense vegetation.

Oneata is surrounded by a coral reef that is excellent for scuba-diving and snorkeling. The island's highest point is 49 m above sea-level.

750 m east of Oneata is the small uninhabited islet of Loa, which rises up to 43 m above sea-level.

Oneata is located about 25 km to the northeast of Moce Island and some 40 km southeast from the archipelago's main island of Lakeba.
