Parakou

Parakou is the terminus of the railway line from Cotonou and the largest city in the north of Benin. Apart from a mosque and a busy market, there is nothing of interest in this city, but it is a good place for a stopover, before continuing to the National Parks further north.

Accommodation is widely available and also restaurants are easily found.
