Piggs Peak
Piggs Peak was founded in 1884, when gold was found in the region. It was named after William Pigg, who was one of the prospectors. Nowadays it is the center of Eswatini's logging industry. There are many pine plantations in the hilly area that surrounds the town. From some of the higher ridges there are magnificent views over the countryside.
Piggs Peak is the best place to buy wooden handicrafts in Eswatini. The Phophonyane Falls, not far from town are well worth a visit. The Maguga Dam is in the Komati river, not far from Piggs Peak.
There are several hotels and lodges in and around Piggs Peak. The town is 40 km north of Mbabane.
