Richards Bay

Richards Bay is an expensive port town, spread out over a wide area. It lies on an inlet at the mouth of the Mhlatuze River, also called Richards Bay. It is the deepest natural harbour on the entire African continent.

Richards Bay is 170 km northeast of Durban and 520 km southeast of Pretoria.

There are several hotels and restaurants in town.
