Risør
The small fishing town of Risør is one of Norway's most picturesque villages. During the summer it gets very crowded with tourists though. Some of the most notable sites in Risør include Den Hellige Ånds Church, which was built in 1647 and the citadel at the nearby town of Tangen. It is a fortification from the Napoleonic Wars. Risør Akvarium is a salt water aquarium that houses countless species of sea animals.
Risør is 160 km southwest of Oslo. There are several hotels and restaurants in town.
There are numerous islands off the coast that can be visited by water taxi. The most visited of the islands is Stangholmen, which boasts a nice, old lighthouse.
