Salisbury (Maryland)
Salisbury was settled in 1732 on the Delmarva's Eastern Shore, at the head of the Wicomico River. Poultry raising and processing is the city's major industry. Salisbury is also a trade and service center for the Eastern Shore and has varied light manufacturing industries. Salisbury State University is in the city.
