Shennongjia Forrestry District (神农架林区)

The Shennongjia Forrestry District is one of the most scenic regions of the Hubei province. It consists of a mountainous area in the northwest of the province, which is heavily forested. In 2016 the region was added to the UNESCO list of world heritage sites for the reason that it includes exceptional floral and faunal biodiversity, as well as its protection of many rare, endangered and endemic species.
