Shimoni
Shimoni is on a small peninsula 70 km south of Mombasa. It is not far from the Tanzanian border. There is not much to see in Shimoni, but there is an excellent beach and the offshore island of Wasini is very interesting. The Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park is excellent for scuba-diving and snorkeling. You can join the Shimoni Slave Cave tours, which is a historical site and restaurant that helps the local community.
Shimoni has a wide variety of accommodation and restaurants.
