South Molle Island
South Molle is one of the oldest resorts in the Whitsundays. It is not particularly sophisticated, but a nice place for families. Large parts of the island are included in the Molle Islands National Park and there are some fine, short walks. The terrain is hilly and there are various nice bays and inlets.
South Molle is on Australia's Great Barrier Reef. The island was named after Colonel George James Molle, who was Lieutenant Governor of New South Wales in the beginning of the 19th century.
