Sunbury Plantation House

The Sunbury Plantation House was built in 1660. It is the only of its kind that is entirely open to the public. The building has thick stone walls that were bconstructed out of ballast blocks, which were left behind by English sailing ships that came to Barbados to pick up shipments of Barbadian sugar.

Inside you'll see colonial furniture and other interesting antiques. Much of the furniture was manufactured from Barbadian mahogany.

The Sunbury Plantation House is located 20 km east of Bridgetown. It has bus connections with Oistins.
