Tavarua Island

Tavarua is a resort island in the Mamanuca Island group. The island is surrounded by a coral reef and the waves that break over it are ranked by many surfers to be some of the best surfing-waves in the world. Professional surfing competitions are held on Tavarua annually.

The island measures 120 ha (29 acres) and it is located close to the island of Viti Levu.
