Techiman

Techiman is an important market city on the Tano river, in the southwestern part of Ghana. It is one of the two major cities of the country's Bono East region.

The city boasts one of West Africa's largest traditional markets. Merchants come from as far as Togo, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Mali.

There are many hotels and restaurants in Techiman, but you can also get food from food-staalls, or from the market. It is a good place to stay if you want to visit Bui National Park.

Techiman is 290 km northwest of Accra.
