Umm Qasr (أم قصر)

Umm Qasr is sometimes transliterated as Um-Qasir, Um-Qasser, or Um Qasr. It is an important port city that sits on the Khawr az-Zubayr, which is part of the Khawr Abd Allah estuary in the south of Iraq. The estuary provides access to the Persian Gulf.
There are several hotels and restaurants in town. Umm Qasr is 500 km southeast of Baghdad.
