Yángshuò (阳朔)

Yángshuò is a good place to relax after travelling through China. It is a western-style town with loads of cafés and nice bars that is surrounded by karst peaks. Not far from town is Moon Hill, a hill with a round (full Moon)-shaped hole through it. There are also numerous caves in the area, including Black Buddha Caves, New Water Caves and Dragon Cave. It is possible to make a cruise on the Li River to the picturesque town of Fuli.

Accommodation and restaurants are widely available in Yángshuò. Bikes can be rented in town, to explore the surrounding area. The town of Guilin, 50 km to the north is also worth a visit.

Yángshuò is 1,765 km southwest of Beijing in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
